Ask a Midwife

Couple Midwife and Question Marks Cropped

If you have a question about pregnancy, birthing options or the care of a newborn baby you can use the Ask a Midwife (AAM) service.

AAM is delivered over social media platforms and is staffed by experienced midwives in a dual role, working part time for the service alongside their clinical work.

The following will take you to the AAM sites where you can find frequently asked questions, public health and other pregnancy related information, and privately message any queries directly to one of our AAM midwives.

If your query is urgent, for example if you are experiencing reduced fetal movements or bleeding,  please contact the hospital direct using the telephone contact numbers on your maternity records.

AAM averages over 800 messages a month and families tell us that they value the easy interaction over social media and getting evidence based advice direct from a midwife.
