Natalie JenkinWhat do you love about your job: I love making a difference to women, families and staff.

Advice to anyone considering applying for midwifery: It is extremely hard work however it is such a rewarding job.

Highlight of your career: I am currently Acting Head of Midwifery and I am thoroughly enjoying the challenges of operational work

 

Community Midwifery Manager - Christine Page-Patrick

Christine Page_PatrickWhat do you love about your job: Providing continuity of care to women and families within my caseload, and making a difference in their pregnancy journey.

Advice to anyone considering applying for midwifery: You may have points in the course where you don't wish to continue and that the course is too difficult, this is normal. Always seek support when you are struggling. Don't give in you will make it.

Highlight of your career: I had that wobble when I was training so to become the manager of the community midwifery team and being a band 7 midwife when I didn't even think that I would complete the course is a real achievement.

 

Practice Educator Lead - Rachel Cavill

Rachel CavillWhat do you love about your job: I love that I can empower staff to feel psychologically safe when providing clinical care and increasing patient safety. I like to support staff to be their best selves and enjoy the work they do by building confidence. This is the same for women in my care when working clinically.

Advice to anyone considering applying for midwifery: Be flexible and what you think might be your career development to be a practicing midwife - there are many other roles to support midwifery.

Highlight of your career: Progression as a midwife. Opportunities to complete Level 7 study when working full time.
